Proper Walking Technique
When being physically active, it is important to use proper walking technique

• Keep arms bent at a 90-degree angle
• Swing strongly forward and backward close to waist and ribs
• Use arms to propel you forward

• Keep shoulders pulled back, head up, tummy tucked in
• Don't slouch!

• Land on your heel when stepping
• Roll your foot from heel to toe
• Push off with the toes and ball of the foot

• Allow your hips to swing with your legs for a smoother motion
