Proper Walking Technique

When being physically active, it is important to use proper walking technique

  1. • Keep arms bent at a 90-degree angle

    • Swing strongly forward and backward close to waist and ribs

    • Use arms to propel you forward

    • Don't slouch!

  4. • Land on your heel when stepping

    • Roll your foot from heel to toe

    • Push off with the toes and ball of the foot

  5. • Allow your hips to swing with your legs for a smoother motion
